I get my music from DJ Record Pools like Crate Connect. And you can think of Record Pools as huge libraries of music of all genres, where you have access to download an unlimited amount of music such as Originals/Radio Edits, Extended DJ Friendly Edits (these are songs with Intros and Outros), Remixes, Instrumentals, Acapellas, etc.

When you see Pro DJs play and mix so smoothly, it’s because they use Extended Edits which can only be downloaded through DJ Record Pools.

So my top pick is Crate Connect. It’s cheap, has a wide selection of music, and also has tracks in MP3 and WAV formats!

Here’s my recommendation if you’re on a budget: Join either site, then download all the music you will ever need from them, then simply stop your subscription when you’ve had your fill.

5️⃣ What software should I invest in?

Regardless if you use Serato DJ or Rekordbox DJ, the main problem of both softwares is that their track analyzation’s are incorrect in terms of analyzing Keys of tracks.

So I highly recommend getting Mixed in Key 11 to supplement either DJ software, because this software not only gets the accurate keys of your tracks but also PREPARES them/CUE POINTS them as well. And that is a game changer when it comes to getting ready to DJ.
